
School may be out at BW, but preparation for our new preschool is well underway. Furniture and activity materials have been delivered.



All is quiet this week with most staff and students off the BW campus.



The graduation gowns are laid out before graduation. It is like the locker room before the big game.


The last day of school at BW has arrived. Positive Reward (BEEP) Prizes and Graduation Practice.



End of the year assembly included Roadrunner Superhero dress up relay, a student victory in dance off with teachers, and a slideshow.


It was a clean sweep this year. The staff took the sports championship with a 16-7 win on the softball field. Well played by both teams.


Our Annual Egg Drop sponsored by CRC was held today. Our winners were Vanessa Martinez, Julissa Contreras, and Victoria Valenzuela.



It was a great day to celebrate the completion of a Kindergarten year at Buttonwillow.


Handing out at Shafter High School nearly $12,000 in college scholarships to former BW Runners. Congratulations on reaching your goals.


It has been a busy day for our BW Roadrunners. Our 6th graders are enjoying Camp KEEP near Cambria. Looks like cool, but nice weather.


Our BW 8th graders enjoyed Knott's Berry Farm for this year's graduation trip.


The joy of looking for discoveries within an owl pellet. Students in the BW Science Lab found the bones of small animals.


We had 18 of our BW 8th graders recognized at the Rio Bravo and Buttonwillow Awards Banquet this evening.


Our BW Roadrunners are off to Camp KEEP for a week at the beach.

Thanks to Mr. Santillan, Lead Maintenance/Driver. He made these awards for students who completed his after school class in basic tools.


BW'S First Salsa Competition was held before Open House. Great judges chose 3rd place Sherry Sandoval, 2nd Alicia Guzman, 1st Mr. Packard.


Great news again in BW. We have been awarded a $35,000 Wellness Grant from Kern Family Health Care. Our partners will be CSUB and KCSOS.
