Today our students were informed and given access to STOPit. This is a new app for students to anonymously report bullying, self harm, concerns for general safety, and any other event or situation in which harm may come to a student.
Upon submitting the concern, the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and the School Psychologist will all automatically receive the report and any updates.
A hot button for reporting will also be added to the school website.
"Safety for all students is our primary concern," said Buttonwillow Union School District Superintendent Stuart Packard. "This is another means of giving our students an outlet to report events that affect themselves and or others in our school community."
Here is one of the descriptive videos that our students in grades 5-8 were shown today.
