Buttonwillow School to Follow Health Department Recommendation
Stuart Packard, Superintendent
Sunday, March 15, 2020
We will have school on Monday and Tuesday. The days will remain minimum days. School will close due to the “Coronavirus” on Wednesday. Parent conferences will be eliminated so teachers can finish planning work for students while school is closed.
Buttonwillow classes will tentatively resume Tuesday, April 14th, the original return date after Spring Break. We will continue to offer breakfast and lunch for all children up to 18 during any regular scheduled school day. Food service will deliver breakfast and lunch to those who live outside of town. We are working on a plan to send computers home with all students in grades 3-8. Please be advised that we were informed of this measure at 7:55 this evening. Details will be worked out over the next two days. Information will continue to be sent through our messenging system as well as Facebook and Twitter. This continues to be an unprecedented situation and one that remains fluid. We are One Town - One School - One Community
